Is Your Husband A Cowboy?

When you married your husband many years ago, did you already know that he had a slight obsession with being a cowboy? Perhaps the clues were the way he dressed. Or, maybe it was the music he listened to and the fact that he owned every John Wayne movie that he could get his hands on. If your guy is still a cowboy, you are probably thinking of planning a cowboy-themed Father's Day. From buying a country music cowboy hat to planning a fun movie night right at home, here are some ideas that might help you.

Buy A Country Music Cowboy Hat - Maybe your gift list already includes the purchase of a new country music cowboy hat for your husband's Father's Day gift. If not, then consider putting one on the top of your gift shopping list. So what if your husband already has this type of hat, right? The thing is, country music cowboy hats are so attractive and so comfortable that your husband will probably be delighted to add another one to his collection.

If your husband does not own a country music cowboy hat, this is a good time to remedy that. The good thing is that this type of hat is affordable, so your wallet won't suffer too much. In addition, they come in so many styles that you might have trouble selecting just one. If your husband doesn't already own a black cowboy hat, consider buying one for Father's Day. The addition of a great looking hat band, maybe with a turquoise stone as part of the design, will just make his gift that much better.

Of course, if you're feeling rich, don't just stop with the hat. Consider buying your husband new boots and a hand-crafted leather belt. If you do so, consider buying a belt and boots that will complement the cowboy hat you select.

Make It A Movie Night - Will you be attending church services on Father's Day? Maybe you have decided to have the family over for a special dinner. No matter what you do during the day, think of ending it with a relaxing movie night. Keep the cowboy theme by giving your husband a choice of westerns to watch. Anything with John Wayne in it would probably please him. For example, McClintock would be one good choice.

Other good cowboy flicks that your husband might like are Shane or How The West Was Won. Don't forget pop corn and his favorite beverage for him to enjoy during the movie.
